Anywhere the child spends a significant amount of time should have their own set. My brother had 4 sets: our house, school, grandma’s house and in my mom’s purse (car/out). A friend had 3: mom’s house, dad’s house and school. As a nanny, I carry a set, they have one at home and school, and if they spend significant amounts of time at another parent’s house or grandparents’ home, they have one there. For occasional trips, especially when I drop off, I leave my set with them.

Do not separate the two-pack. It’s meant to be a second shot if the first isn’t sufficient.

We had one at home, one at school, one at SACC. I tried to time refills for beginning of school year bc the stupid pens expire and the school required current ones. Such a pain. I kept expired ones at home as a backup.

Always ask the dr for coupons, mine would hand them out readily and they usually saved us our hefty co-pay for the prescription.

We have the doctor write three sets on the prescription. One for school, one for home and one for DS to care around when he goes out to eat. They are used to writing out this many on one prescription. If doctor won’t do it, can you get the initial prescription refilled?

We were just prescribed. It is a two pack. However, she needs a second set for Dad’s house. So, we bought the second pack out of pocket. Which was ouchy, but What’s the alternative?

We have two for home/travel with us and two at daycare. We were prescribed the two sets of two. My understanding is sometimes two doses are necessary for severe reactions.

My daughter was prescribed an EpiPen yesterday. The prescription included two total. Do people request additional epipens for home? Or send one to school keep one at home?
