I turned 47 in December so this is me right about now. I actually feel pretty good about the coming year. The past year was pretty bad - some relationship issues with DH and a stressful renovation. I am hoping 47 is great!

Is it because of teenagers? I'm younger, but I had my kids young. Teenagers are wearing me down. Way down.

Hopefully they launch. Please god let them launch.

So THIS!!!! Happened to mew at 45 and 46-complete hell. Constant emergencies and outbursts. If siblings aren't helpful it makes you full of resentment when you rarely thought about them much prior. Dealing with a stubborn, difficult and hostile elderly parent is a very special kind of hell.

I am already feeling the misery at 45.

That is my exact age....anxiously awaiting the upswing!

My 40s were miserable, almost start to finish. Some of that was self-inflicted (agreed to move so DH could change jobs - bad idea) and some was unavoidable (lost way, way too many loved ones and mentors).

I've been working really hard to process the grief and loss. It is getting better. Slowly.

47.2 is only 1.2 months (36 days) long. it will go by fast.
