I agree with you. Free VPN can be used if you want to access the network in a public place through a common channel. But .. I tried to use it when I wanted to watch an online stream from the last major (Dota 2) and it did not work at all. I had to just look at the result on hawkbets then.

Not free...but I've been happy with Nordic. I have never tried anything else.
