Except for the live tracking, all dA teams. For example, professional videos are required as part of the DA. This has been amazing for us for college recruitment, but the team also studies footage.


Ecnl clubs tape games too.

They do not all have the Live training tracking or InStat game result data -- my DD does not get that.

DA road trip league games would be 2-3 over night per year to NY/NJ

Day trips to PA twice.

Winter Showcase in Florida 4 days
Spring showcase rotates between NC and Col 4 days
Summer showcase San Diego. 4 days.

Small day trip or local showcase

U14 Spring Summer Showcase
U15-U17 Winter, Spring, Summer
U18/19 Winter, Spring,

Considering many in ECNL play High School soccer there is a loss of training time that is still being paid for and there are more ECNL events that require travel. League game travel is similar in cost but ECNL packs in a lot of events. They do regionalize them a bit but they are also on top of other popular tournaments like Jeff Cup etc that over time add up.

DA teams have 2-3 showcase events per year depending on the age group. And some teams may add a small showcase regionally but 4 events is about max for most DA's.

DA gives you more bang for the buck. The overall out of pocket costs are comparable, but ECNL shuts downs for much of spring due to HS soccer. So you spend more at ECNL if you want to keep training on par with DA. Take a look at the game schedules to see the difference.

Part of the reason DA gives you more is US Soccer subsidizes DA by paying the cost for all game refs, league administration, etc.


really depends on the actual fees at the clubs which can vary. the GDA near me is more expensive the ECNL option but that could be different for other areas. Your geographic location is also a factor. IF you are located towards the center of the conference, you can possibly turn more competitions into day trips rather then having to spend on hotels. Some clubs transport the players oon a bus and some do not. Just do your homework before you make decision. But it is a lot of money any way you slice it.

You need to call the individual clubs to determine the soccer fees (training, uniforms, any facilities fees) and then look at the travel schedule to figure out and add in the travel budget.

But overall, the costs for those leagues is similar and very very high. It is almost an "if you have to ask, you can't afford it situation with girls' soccer for those two leagues.
