Hogan is corrupt and has wasted a lot of money trying to funnel state contracts to his friends, and they have not even been that successful. Look up former chief of staff, Sam Malhotra, who owns an IT company Hogan is trying to funnel state contracts to regardless of whether the work needs to be done or not. There was actually a lawsuit between the University of Maryland and the state in which the state had stopped paying for a contract before its term was up because they wanted to start paying Hogan’s buddies.

I like that he is a check on the Kirwan Commission madness. We already spend the most money per student for poor results (mid-thirties on NAEP). Teachers unions jamming for even more money ain’t fixing this problem. Maryland is consistently listed as number one for ‘legal’ corruption. They are all on the take in this state in some way or another.

Hogan appeals to Southern Maryland voters. So what. I'm a democrat but I'm fine with him in office although I don't like the way he is handling widening of the beltway. I wish he would continue his anti-Trump attitude by not being such an insulting a$$hole about people who oppose his views. No one is "pro-traffic." Gimme a break.

It was a massive subsidy from the state to the city in exchange for something that wasn't going to be used by enough people. Even the existing light rail operates well under capacity.

Hogan canceled the Red Line in Baltimore because, to his mind, transportation = cars. That would have been an understandable mindset in 1950, but it's 2020.

Baltimore is a black hole of a financial abyss run into the ground by 70 years of democrat corruption. Billions of dollars goes into Baltimore, yet nothing comes out, and the city gets worse and worse. It's because all of the democrats in Baltimore enrich themselves, their friends, and their families with tax payer dollars and/or get kickbacks.

The redline was going to have massive overrun costs. Baltimore is a dead city that continues to slide into irrelevance. Most of MD's population growth and economic engine resides in the DC suburbs like MoCo. Killing the redline was a good financial decision.

Who cares? Thanks to its political climate and the albatross that is Baltimore, Maryland is sliding into regional and national irrelevancy anyways.
