Sure but just remember that whatever you would pay a plumber or an electrician, you’ll need to pay a planner at least that much, then you’ll need additional budget for rentals and florals to make using them worthwhile. Not saying it’s not worth it - there are few things I love more than a lavish party. Just don’t have any info on OP’s budget.

Lots of places for people to sit and converse in large groups or smaller groups.
Keep the flow. Is it a sit down or a buffet. I like having different stations for appetizer, entrees and desserts, drinks etc.
Get a coat rack on wheels if you do not have space to hang coats.

It kind of depends also on how much $$ you want to drop. There are lots of very talented people but it’s not inexpensive to hire them to come to your house and help you.
Too bad we’re not friends because I LOVE doing that stuff.

Subject: Help decorating for dinner party
I am planning a dinner party, but my dinnerware is tired and I need help with pulling the dining room together for the event. Is this appropriate for a typical interior decorator or is there a more specific person/store that can provide specific service? I’m looking for someone to make suggestions as to what to use/what not to bring out, and then provide guidance as to what can fill the gaps.
