What’s the name for the setting that Princess Diana’s ring had? Is that not halo because the stones are larger? The halo setting looks like itty bitty stone to try and make the center stone look larger.

That's the ugliest one on the list.

They aren’t my taste but I wouldn’t call them tacky either.

I have a split shank halo rose gold ring ... I honestly fought hard against the halo because of the very reason that everyone on here seems to dislike it. But there's something about the warmth of the rose gold around the larger diamond that really makes my ring gorgeous. I love it and I've never had a an issue with stones falling out. Been wearing it for 5 years.

I don't think anyone thinks that. I don't think they show off all diamonds to their best though. It's nice when diamonds stand on their own but then again if everyone around has a solitaire then it's nice to see a halo too.

Yes, because most people think trying to make a diamond look bigger.

Anyone who knows about jewelry knows those stones fall out.

It's your finger wear what you like who cares what others think.

There are old sayings that say "Rings are for wearer, necklaces for others" something like that.

I have one. I don’t always like them though. A lot of times, I think the halo is too chunky and overpowers the center stone. Mine was made by a jeweler, Victor Canera, who does thin halos and tilts the halo so that it doesn’t look like a UFO from the side.

I think they’re pretty but I also think the design is dated. Early to mid 00’s.

I don’t have one but I have always found them to be pretty. I’m surprised at some of the comments in the other thread. I don’t necessarily think it’s just to make your diamond look bigger. I know a lot of people with big diamonds that still have halo rings.
