I'm a pretty adventurous/reasonable eater (I mean I'm not in foodie territory, but I've been into seltzer, brussel sprouts, and kale for far longer than their popularity). However, I have had a very strong dislike for yogurt for years and years and years.
I found it too tangy/sour; would eat frozen yogurt (even the tangy kind) if necessary, but really not so into it...would use some plain greek yogurt as a subsitute for sour cream if necessary. (For the record, although I like sugar, I don't eat that much of it...i drink coffee with a touch of milk, eat plenty of veggies which are bitter etc. etc).
I live in a house filled with yogurt-eaters/lovers.
A couple of weeks ago, for some random reason, I decided to try some (full fat) yogurt with granola and a touch of honey and found it surprisingly tasty. What is happening? I heard the sense of taste dulls around 40...is this what is happening to me? lol.
Is oatmeal (another food I really dislike, except in cookies) next?
But seriously, have others experienced some changing tastes like this? Is it really age, or maybe just a perpetually stuffy nose?
Thoughts on this critically important topic of the day welcome
