Does the lack of generosity bother you? What is the barrier to him being more generous, do you think? I am glad that you are still content, and no one "has it all." Just curious.
I think I viewed it in the lens of being generous with money, but he is definitely more generous of his time (maybe 3/10 being generous with money and 7/10 being generous with his time?). He grew up very money insecure, and the downside to that is that he just doesn't really think about giving to others first. He needs a lot in the bank to feel secure. It's not that he doesn't give anything, it's just not among his first impulses.
Of course, part of the way he grew up has fueled his career ambition and made him successful at a relatively young age.
We've been together for quite some time and have a good balance. He does not object to me being more generous than he.
