I was going to say this. Some classes still may have openings there. We love it. I grew up in the PNW and Tauxemont will march that vibe.

More and more parents want kids in preschool for as many hours as possible,, so many small preschools which used to offer morning or afternoon classes have had to make their classes 9-1 to match what parents want.

Interesting. Lots of preschoolers nap in the afternoon, I always thought that’s why there are no afternoon preschools?

NCRC offers an afternoon option. It is a fantastic preschool! Play based, and they have a delightful playground, but I wouldn't describe it as having an outdoor emphasis. Plenty of other great things going for it though. Admissions applications are due in the next month or so to start next fall.

There's probably a couple out there, but they are few and far between. Chevy Chase Presbyterian (NW DC) and St. Andrew Apostle (Silver Spring) used to have afternoon-only options, but I don't think they do anymore.

We moved from Pacific NW where there are lots of afternoon only preschool options (1-4pm). Are there any around here? Play-based, outdoor emphasis. Thank you!
