And her belief that any man in music just cruises straight to the top of the charts with no criticism and no media stories and no questions is ridiculous. Does she really think that only woman have to work for their success?

She seems to think that contracts should be voided and anything she wants should be handed to her on a silver platter no questions asked.

She could have spoken up for women by addressing actual issues but when she pouts and whines like an entitled brat she just makes women look bad.

As a woman I prefer woman who work from a position of strength rather an a look at poor victimized me. She is a multi millionaire who has a had a ton for recognition and success so her position that as a woman she can't ever get ahead or get anywhere just falls flat.

Pretty sure we read two entirely different speeches.

+1

Also, this sounds like the TS hater from the other post so let’s ignore her.

Dp...ugh typical TS fan.

This is such an ignorant take.

I love her and I have no idea how her cataloged music got sold without her permission. Where were her lawyers when she signed off that contract? My knowledge of music industry contracts is zero so I have no clue how that happened.

That said, I love Taylor.

It was exactly the time and the place. As she said in the beginning, she's reflecting on what it means to be the woman of this decade. She's trying to make some very real changes to how women are treated in the industry and how contracts are handled, especially with young artists. And she delivered that message to the room full of people who most need to hear it - those in the industry.

Agree 100%.

Are you asking us to? Did you think Taylor Swift didn't do a good job of naming them?

what she is saying is beyond important, my two cents. I think the delivery is awkward, but she's not a politician so not gonna hold her to those standards

I think a speech like that needs to be delivered to a captive audience. The people who most need to hear it would never click on a link.

Warning, it's a looong speech, but very much worth it. She calls out so many people and issues that cut across all industries....yet I am also a little putt off by it. Interested to hear thoughts from others.
