I go to a small shop (6 stylists), and the young woman who does my hair set aside a special appointment for my mother on a Sunday morning when the shop was closed.

I don't know if this is feasible for you - but I go to this stylist once or 2x a month and tipe reasonably well - but nothing earth shattering. She's just a sweet and gentle soul so I trust her with my mom.

Norma's in the Kemp Mill Shopping Center in Silver Spring has a lot of older customers. All of the stylists are very friendly and I go to Norma for myself.

If you are in Montgomery County, Genie Hair Salon in Silver Spring (across the parking lot in the rear of Whole Foods) is great with my 85 year old mother. She's incredibly picky despite being frail and feeble and she likes how Genie does her hair. Genie is patient and even plucks the hairs on her chin.

Where are you located?

All she wants is to get her hair styled for the holidays. Does anyone know someone who is sensitive to the elderly? She is 100lbs and 97 years old Thank you.
