As a kid, for our parties my parents played a ridiculously simple game where they blew up a bunch of balloons and each balloon had a piece of paper with either a or a on it. Each kid got a balloon and had to pop it by sitting on it, and whoever got the smiley face won a prize. They usually did a few rounds of this because it was such a hit. Works for all ages!

Apples to Apples Jr. and charades are always fun with kids that age.

When you need to sit down with a glass of wine, get them to play dead lions. All the kids lie down and try to keep as still and as quiet as possible. If a kid moves or makes a noise they’re out. Last kid to move wins a prize.

We have had fun with egg races across a wide age span - Balance a hard boiled egg on a spoon with different sized spoons by age (tea spoon for the older kids, big serving spoon for the little kids)-mixed age relays work well.

Twister

Pass the Parcel. Wrap a prize in many layers of paper. Kids sit in circle and you play music. Every time the music stops, kid holding the parcel removes a layer. For added fun, include smaller prizes like stickers or a lollipop in some, but not all of, the layers. It's also fun to vary the paper by using remnants of old wrapping paper, newspapers, magazines, etc. The kids get a kick out of random Disney themed wrapping paper and stuff like that.

Pin the tail on the donkey was a surprising hit at my 6 yo’s party. The big kids helped the little ones and led the activities.

Count out 20 Skittles or M&Ms. Put them in a paper cup. Put an empty paper cup next to it. Then give each kid a straw. When you say Go, each kid has to use the straw to transfer each piece of candy from the full cup to the empty one.

What is the gender? I have a boy and a girl. For my daughter, she enjoyed things such as karaoke, pin the tail on the donkey, or arts and crafts. Everybody gets some item to paint to take home. My son is much more competitive. For him we had corn hole, horse shoes, and some races. Although, all kids are different. Your girl might prefer some of the games my son enjoyed or your son might enjoy some of the games my daughter enjoyed

Hide and go seek, dodgeball with really soft puff balls

Make or buy plain sugar cookies. Buy plain vanilla icing/frosting and then various sprinkles/toppings and let the kids decorate and eat!

Get the skinny balloons and hand air pump. Older kids can blow up their own and adults can help little kids.

You can also do mad libs.

Animal charades

That's a big range. How old is the birthday kid? I'd cater to games they'd enjoy the most (since it's their birthday.)
