The friends may be valuable with their experience in this case. i.e. at wootton the honors physics last year was insanely hard. They changed it for this year and Honors is now easier. My child did two sciences when the honors physics was extremely hard and I wouldn't recommend it.

If these classes/teachers aren't known for their difficulty then it may be fine.

Some kids can handle it, some can't. Tell her that her friends brains are not her brains. Everyone has different strengths and passions.

My DS was saying the other day that everyone was warning him off of AP Physics C because it is "so hard." I asked if he knew their grade in honors physics? No. I pointed out that he hasn't lost a point yet in honors physics and has talked about how easy it is, so why would he believe someone else, whose physics abilities he does not know, over his knowledge of his own abilities and enjoyment of physics?

That made sense to him.

Unless those friends have already done it and lived to regret it, she should disregard their opinions (hard for teens to do).

Honors physics isn’t bad. If she can’t handle it then that will tell her something. AP Bio either.

When does she sleep?

She sounds like a go-getter. What does her advisor say?

If she is motivated and organized then she should do it. Not unreasonable even with those extracurricular lbs.

DD wants to take Physics HN and AP BIO in Junior year, she also plays a sport on the varsity and club level that requires a time commitment of at least 20 hours a week.
Some of her classmates are discouraging her from taking 2 sciences, she wants to get into pre-med.
