I’m cracking up at all these people saying you should drive 4 hours RT to philly or Richmond just to entertain your kids for a day or two. People, it’s not that hard!

Lancaster has a lot of fun farm or train related things to do. Strasbourg train museum is great.

Take a trip to ikea in the morning, play with the toys, have an early lunch. Buy some cheap silicone ice cube trays. After nap have the kids peel old crayons and break them up and out in the trays and melt in oven on low heat to make new swirl crayons (note—those trays can’t be used for anything else after that project, so choose wisely).

Go to the pet store then Barnes and Noble, you get coffee they get cake pops

We did LEGO discovery center, please touch museum and adventure aquarium. My kids had a blast. We also went to reading terminal and Chinatown to eat. Our kids loved it.

Try Hook Hall for breakfast one day.. tons of room and games for the kids to play and COFFEE!

Park. Museums. Make slime. Do the dishes. Laundry. Sack races, bake cookies. Make salt dough ornaments, including the salt dough and painting. Pyjama party. Painting everyone’s toes. Board game. Matching games. Hide and seek. Tag.

Check out different christmas lights exhibits - although in the morning hours maybe that's not the best idea. I think botanical gardens has an indoor light exhibit.

I have 3 kids (2, 4 and 7), and am off with them for 8 days over Christmas break. I need ideas of things to do with them (all before 1pm) so we don’t go stir crazy at home.
