My 9yo uses https://www.typingclub.com/ at school and sometimes uses it at home. But he also learns through just typing stories into Google docs and sending emails to family.

My kids use typing agent - they also chat with their friends using their computers and keyboards (not iphones/ipads.)

The school let them play Typing Agent in their free time.

I gave her my old iPad with a keyboard cover. She started typing me emails or texts me through iMessage when she was about six. By eight, she could type around 30-40 wpm.

They work on it in homeroom at school. My sixth grader types as fast as me and I used to be a litigation associate, so I think he’s probably just fine with whatever the school is doing.

Found an online game and had them do it daily for a month over the summer.

My school purchased Keyboarding without Tears. Kids love it.

How did you teach your child keyboarding? I’m looking for a resource or even better would be a class to teach my elementary school kid keyboarding skills, since increasingly all the work is done on computers. Thanks for any recommendations/advice!
