This is my spacing too. Oldest now 12.

I found it to be light years easier to have the spacing at 3 years vs 2 years. I definitely recommend the three year spacing! At two years, I still had a not fully potty trained toddler to deal with when I brought home a newborn.

With three years, you can put the older child in part time preschool. SO much easier.

I found it easier to have three kids with that spacing, compared with when I had the two kids two years apart.

I have a set of big kids and a set of little kids. Perfectly happy.

1 & 2 are 2 years 3 months apart and if we are successful in our plan, 2 & 3 will be about 3.5 years apart. I would’ve preferred 2 year gap between each but my husband wasn’t on board w the idea of a 3rd for awhile. I liked our first 2 (a boy and then a girl) being spaced 27 months apart...they are close, play well together, have a lot of the same interests and enjoy a lot of the same activities. I wouldn’t have wanted to have them any closer together than that though because I wanted our first to get to be “the baby” longer—he was still in a crib, still in diapers, still used the high chair, etc when our 2nd was born and transitioned to big kid bed, potty training, booster seat shortly after baby sis was born but I didn’t want to rush those things and would have felt rushed if they had been born any closer together.

2 & 3 - 3 years apart

Due to school cut offs, all are 3 grades apart. Overall I’m happy with the spacing.

22 months between DD and DS 1, and 7.5 years between DS1 and DS2. It has worked out very well, and we are so happy that our youngest (now 11) is helping us delay the empty nest.

1 and 2: 23 months apart
2 and 3: 2.5 years apart

I prefer the shorter spacing, but had to wait for the third due to a job change/FMLA. But that said, what we have is great!

2 yrs apart.

Kid #4 is a 4 yr difference (8 yrs to oldest) to next sibling.

22 months between the first and second, almost exactly 2 years between second and third. So, for about 2 months, I had 3 kids under 4.

It's been great. They play together and love each other and the friends of the older two like to incorporate the younger into their games. There's also plenty of fighting, not going to lie. But overall they love each other. First thing any of them think about when they wake up in the morning is the other two.

1 and 2 are 4 years almost to the day apart. 2 and 3 are 3 years 4 months apart. I like a bigger spacing. I am not a 2 under 2 gal! They are all still pretty close and play well together.

19 months between boy 1 and boy 2

2 1/2 years between boy 2 and girl

The first two were difficult at times, but now as teens they are very close

2 1/2 years feels perfect
