Of course, DA gets you more looks and the showcases are better. Plus, you have the full year to get recruited. That tends to work well for colleges, since they are in season in the fall.
But I'm just wondering how the boys' ECNL is doing compared to other non-DA options. It does have some virtues in organization and it has definitely gained traction from its inception 2 years ago.
Bethesda has a lot of player commitments - https://www.bethesdasoccer.org/commitments/page/3/

Do you have stats on it? I saw some of McLean's boys were getting recruited, so I'm wondering if it's club specific. McLean has boys going to Princeton, James Madison and some other good schools as well.
On their website it looks like 5-6 the past 2 years. Last year the 2 you mentioned plus McDaniel, W&L, University of Indianapolis and Case Western. I assume those are D2/D3 and good academic schools (at least the ones I know)...Personally, I think if you get to the point where the schools that are recruiting you are small, offering no cash, and not the best academic schools a kid can get into, they’re better off just going where they want to go and trying to walk on, which is what I imagine most of the rest of MYS ‘19 ECNL Boys players have done.
