Many of the tree farms were hit by a fungus this year. The tree crop was hard hit.

Ticonderoga farms in Chantilly has a winter fun farm type thing with admission fee. You can cut down your own or pick out the pre cut.
Cox Farms has a really nice set up with fake snow etc-no admission fee

We usually have bought our trees from COSTCO or Whole Foods but this year they looked short and scrawny. This made us think it may be fun to take our kids further away to pick up a tree maybe a nursery in the suburbs or a nearby farm.

I should add we are a bit picky, we’d be looking for a Fasier Fir or Noble Fir between 7.5 and 8 feet tall and full/ wide in diameter. ?
