No it would be:
1. New given name
2. Birth name
3. My last name
4. Last name
Either give him 4 names or call him by his birth name. You can’t differentiate one child by not giving him the maiden name the others have.

Sounds like this child is adopted so was born with a name they want to keep. I’d do 4, OP. I have 4. It’s not a problem. Sometimes I have to drop my first middle of it doesn’t fit but it usually does.

I have four and never use the second middle except on my taxes. But I like having it, it's no trouble.

What did you do for your other kids? Is it any different for this kid?
Our other kids are not adopted. They have first, middle (my last name), and last name.

Oops, I meant that our kids WOULD only have 1 first, middle and last name.

It's annoying. In the Navy they mashed together my 2nd and third name, and then I was forced to list that as an alias on all government forms and when I became a fed. We decided when we had children that they wouldn't have 1 first, 1 middle and 1 last name.

Not sure about growing up with four names, but I changed my name when I got married, but kept my middle and maiden names. In practicality when filling out forms etc this means that my maiden name is my middle name and my middle name is almost never used. But all four are on my passport, driver's license, etc.
As a child I don't remember ever caring about a middle name.

Anyone here have 4 names? Or give their child 4 names? How does it work on licenses and other documents? Are you forced to just use 1 middle name or can you put both on everything?
My husband does not want 4 names and thinks it will be a hindrance. FWIW, the first 3 names are all short, none is more than 5 letters. The names are all meaningful names.
