OP here. MY husband and MIL will be doing most of the cooking and cleaning.

Then I’m not really seeing why you’re so worried.

It depends on how many guests, whether some will stay overnight, and what level of hosting is expected.

Also, make sure your guests wash their hands and face before handling the baby.

If i had a 3mo waking up a couple of times a night i would not be hosting anything.

OP here. Things can change but right now he is doing a 8 hour stretch at night. I sleep that and sleep in after the morning feed too. It could change by then though.

Fine. We hosted Christmas when our first was six weeks old and it was fine. As long as it’s not just all on you—and it sounds like it won’t be—it won’t be too much.

It will be fine. It becomes much harder when they are mobile but can’t play independently. We hosted Xmas with a 5 and 1 year old and did all the cooking ourselves so your situation is very manageable.

My husband and I had a baby in September. We just moved into a new house and want to host Christmas. I will do limited work as my husband and MIL will handle the bulk of cooking and cleaning. Do you think it will be fine or too much?
