You can't and don't have to abstain all the time, don't make it too hard otherwise it's very tempting to give up.
Some people (like me!) are the opposite. I HAVE to abstain completely or else I go completely off the rails. I can’t just have a taste of Christmas cookies or pizza or whatever...I want it all. If I allow myself a small amount it’s more willpower to stop than if I had never started. Bright Line Eating has been very helpful to me (thanks DCUM!)
Anyways, good job OP. It’s a tough day but your health is more important! Being with friends and family is the good part of Thanksgiving, otherwise it’s just a meal!
