F*&^! I want to get pregnant so bad. 33, had my first at 29 after 2 years of trying and 3 losses. MTHFR and male factor were my hurdles.

I thought it might be easier this time, but I was wrong and constantly worrying about ovulating is almost PTSD.

At this point, I know I have so much love to give, I've joined a few adoption forums and fb groups just to see how it is.

Took 7 cycles to get pregnant naturally with 1st at 29 (didn't know then that we officially had any 'issues'). After TTC #2 for a year at 32, diagnosed with DOR. 3 failed medicated IUIs, 2 IVFs that ended in chemicals, 1 IVF canceled for poor response. Was preparing to start a mini-stim cycle when I got spontaneously pregnant with my DD. Our back-up/last ditch plan was to try natural cycle IVF then throw in the towel.

To the DOR who did natural IVF at dominion what was your protocol? Why did you choose dominion over other clinics?

no trouble conceiving our first. No luck after 6 months at over 35 trying for #2.

Did three rounds of medicated monitored TI. Insurance covered TI but not IUI and our doc said IUI wouldn't make a difference for us anyways. (And I believe her cause we ended up conceiving twice more -- one of the medicated cycles and one of the priming cycles — but both were early losses).

Took three retreivals and three transfers to achieve success. Third transfer was our first tested PGT-A normal.

Diagnosed with DOR after naturally conceiving #1. Have done 3 rounds of IVF and a few IUIs with no success. Done with treatment and not sure how long we want to keep trying on our own before being happy with our only.

Endometriosis progressed after my first born, causing secondary infertility. Also some issues with dh’s sperm. Had surgery for the endo. Two failed medicated iui’s. IVF with ICSI produced 7 eggs, 4 healthy embryos and 1 that lasted to transfer at 5 days. He’s 8 yo now.

I saw Dr Levy at Shady Grove. After the iui’s I also started doing acupuncture at a place in the same building. Who knows for sure but I think it helped, at least with my anxiety about everything.

Had my first child without ART at age 32. Tried for #2 from about 35-37 on our own then moved on to IVF. Did 5 cycles with no success. I’m almost 42 now and going to do a donor egg cycle soon. If that fails, we will be done.

Same sex couple, had our first child after MANY failed IUIs and the first IVF worked (he was the only embryo). Knew we needed ART for #2. DW had three losses between #1 and #2 along with many failed or no embryos to show for it cycles. Finally had #2 in Dec. 2017 and have now started trying for #3 with the embryos that we have left. DW got pregnant in August but had a miscarriage.

No regrets. A lot of time, money, and heartache went into getting our #2 but he was worth every bit of it.

Pregnant on the first try the first time around at 35, happy and healthy pregnancy. Started TTC #2 at 37. After a few months did an infertility workup and everything normal except slightly low AMH. Diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. I saw multiple REs. Did infertility treatments for several years and then tried on our own a few more years. TTC #2 for 5 years before we gave up and decided to be a family of 3 with an only child.

We are dealing with secondary infertility. Have completed two IUI rounds. Doing a medicated cycle (no IUI) just as a last shot since we didn't want to do anything through the holidays. I am glad we tried the IUI first, sine you never know what may happen. But for a number of reasons we are moving to IVF (unless we get a miracle this time around).

I did iui for my first, but it never worked. I view it as a colossal waste of time and emotional energy. Ended up getting pregnant the old fashioned way after 2 years. For the second kid, I went directly to IVF. We did natural cycle with ICSI, and it worked on the first try.

Been trying for over a year for our second and I have a blocked tube. We will be moving straight to IVF in January. At that point we will have been TTC for almost 1.5 years. In our case, the RE recommended back in October trying unassisted through the holidays then IVF.

Because I already ovulate and have great blood work, medicated cycles weren’t recommended and since I have a blocked tube IUI has an even smaller than normal chance. Our insurance pays for three cycles so going straight to IVF was an easier choice.

If this is you, would love to hear your story. How many IUI before moving on? Did IVF work for you? At a crossroads in which IVF is the next step
