OP - not to hijack the thread, but would you mind sharing name of urologist? We are looking for one that would be helpful (the one my husband saw discounted his low numbers and referred us to find an RE on our own? not sure how that would fix the issue.)

I am 29 years old and my husband (34) have been trying to conceive for nearly a year. I had a feeling something was off so I made an appt. with a RE in October. Turns out that I am fine but my husband has very low numbers (1 million). He went to see a urologist where we found out that he has two varicocele veins. I have a follow up appt with my RE next week to discuss options but I am pretty convinced that IVF + ISCI is probably the way to go, at least for this first (hopeful) pregnancy. I've read that the surgery can help improve numbers but not drastically enough to produce a natural pregnancy. Do I wait and try to do IUI?
