However, I started off, I think, with the exact same beta at the exact same time. Doubling was excellent and I thought I was in the clear but once it came time for ultrasounds... nothing. Blighted ovum (waited until 2nd ultrasound at 7 weeks to throw in the towel). You have probably seen my posts on here.
I would say hope for the best but prepare for the worst. It really could be ok. When I was going through it I came across countless stories that made be feel optimistic. I just wasn't lucky.
it was a 30 hr and then 42 hr doubling time... yeah, that's why im afraid of the next ultrasound but it is what it is. did you eventually have success?
I've had success before this loss (twice) -- but both times I went through many procedures and losses. This was my first loss in trying for a 3rd, and I haven't tried again since the loss because my beta is still not negative.
oh man =( when did you have your miscarriage? (like how many months/weeks ago)

Anonymous wrote:your doubling time seems really good. isn't that the key factor?

1st beta at 9dp5dt: 34
2nd beta at 12dp5dt: 179
3rd beta at 19dp5dt 2789
Ultrasound is next week (6w4d). My nurses are pretty useless in helping me hedge here, since in the beginning it was "oh no" and then it became "on track!"
These are my most likely outcomes right? Ranked in most likely to least likely. Am I missing anything?
- empty sac (blighted ovum)
- nothing to be found (ectopic)
- sac with yolk, fetal pole measuring behind-- no heartbeat-
- sac with yolk, fetal pole, measuring behind- low heartbeat
- sac with yolk, fetal pole, measuring on time- low heartbeat
- sac with yolk, fetal pole, measuring on time- regular heartbeat
