I have been a lifelong evening snacker, so I've accepted that even if I've had a healthy, filling, nutritious day of eating, I still crave "something" in evening, at least psychologically. This might be the same for you.

However, I've replaced unhealthy snacking with something simple - fruit and tea. I will have a small bowl of berries and a cup of herbal tea, almost every night. Sometimes no berries, and just tea. It's just right for me.

You need to either plan for those calories or break the habit. To break the habit start doing something else- go fora walk, stay upstairs and read a book in bed. Eventually you will get out of the habit of snacking.

Set a "cut-off" time at night. Just set a rule that you won't eat after 8 pm.

I have to physically separate myself so I hang out upstairs and all the snacks are downstairs.

I go running later in the evening so by the time I get done it’s almost time for bed and I’m not just sitting around thinking about food.

Drink tea. Herbal is my favorite. I get ones that are seasonal such as candycane sleepytime or fall spiced.

I just eat less dinner because I know I’ll snack in the evenings.

How do I stop?! I don’t snack in bad things, but do snack.
