Actually this is perfectly acceptable year round look if you have fungus and or when you work with menuer.

I’m in my 50s and I’m a cancer survivor, so...I think I have a decent perspective.
I’ve learned that I enjoy wearing clothing that helps me blend in professional situations.

I've seen it too in DC, but I think it just looks dated. Different parts of the country pick up on trends at different rates though. And you don't have to put your tall boots away, I'm wearing mine right now with a dress

Since this look is purportedly “out,” and considering I rarely see this look as much in DC/MD, I’m wondering whether there’s a southern aspect to continuing to wear tall boots in VA? Sort of like a Western wear sort of approach? This is a professional conference, and the look is pants, tall boots over pants, long suit jacket, tailored blouse.
