Inside our large suitcases in our basement. They are near/behind our furnace. Dark and dirty. Not inviting to children.

Trunk of your car, in a laundry basket, under a blanket. Garage. Large suitcases. Attic.

Do you have suitcases you can use?

We usually use the garage or work. They need to be delivered to work also because my kids are wise to the UPS driver delivering packages.

I have high up shelves in my bedroom closet that are not visible. I do that, as well as a storage closet in my garage. I’m thinking of keeping some in my husband’s office this year.

Gifts are stored at DH's office.

Sometimes I store a nearby friend’s gifts for her kids, and she stores mine. Depends on the gifts and the year, but it’s a system that works well for us. The kids aren’t close enough friends to snoop for each other.

If she's old enough to read, she's old enough for you to not worry so much about hiding her presents. She probably knows you're Santa anyway and she can learn that one can spoil their own surprise by snooping.

And by this, I don't mean a home office. I mean my away-from-home office. I go at lunchtime to get presents and put them in the cabinet in my office.

I was a Christmas present hunter. It never bothered me when I found them, then I was tortured with not being able to do anything with said gift until Christmas. My Mom did take the Christmas presents that I bought and hid those from me, otherwise I would hand them out early because I knew my family would like the gift.

No I don't think your option is safe. I once found my Christmas presents as a kid in an overly obvious spot like yours (my parents' closet). I realize it was my fault but I was one sad 8 year old after I found them, the surprise being ruined (the gifts were nice though).

Were they wrapped though? These would be wrapped.

No they were unwrapped.

Our bed is fitted with a skirt that goes all the way to the floor. Our DD doesn’t go in our room unless invited, but occasionally lays in our bed if she needs a quiet place to read. I can’t recall her ever looking under the bed. She doesn’t believe in Santa. Does this seem like a safe place to store Christmas presents? She thinks they are in our basement. Do you think this would be safe? Where do you store presents?
