Your uninformed opinion does not warrant a new thread.

OP can you explain, in words, what is "sloppy" and "incompetent" about all this? Either Trump tried to leverage the official power of the U.S. government for personal gain in an election, or he did not. It doesn't even have to be technically bribery. I'm a federal employee, and if I even tried to buy stock in one of my regulated entities, I could be fired or put in jail. It's basic government ethics.

This was a thwarting of U.S. foreign policy formTrump’s personal gain - exactly the kind of situation the founding fathers were concerned about when they created impeachment.

OP is why we need to bring back civics in high school. Or OP is Russian.

If we call it BRIBERY, which is specifically mentioned as a justification for impeachment, will that make you feel better?

For the nerds out there, good discussion of the Framers' understanding of "bribery."

https://www.lawfareblog.com/constitution-says-bribery-impeachable-what-does-mean

Similarly, “Russell on Crimes,” originally published in 1819, described bribery as “the receiving or offering [of] any undue reward by or to any person whatsoever, in a public office, in order to influence his behaviour in office, and incline him to act contrary to the known rules of honesty and integrity.”...

...The understanding of bribery at the Founding maps perfectly onto Trump’s conduct in his call with Zelensky. As noted above, Trump made clear to Zelensky that he was asking him for a “favor”—not a favor to benefit the United States as a whole or the public interest, but a favor that would accrue to the personal benefit of Trump by harming his political rival. Trump’s request that Zelensky work with his private attorney, Rudy Giuliani, underscores that Trump was seeking a private benefit. And Trump was not seeking this “undue reward” (to quote “Russell on Crimes” and the Delaware statute) as a mere aside unrelated to the president’s official role. Rather, he did so in the course of an official diplomatic conversation with a head-of-state.

The transcript makes clear that Trump tied together the request for a personal favor with the delivery of military aid. But even if he had not made such a direct connection, this sort of corrupt use of public office to obtain a private benefit fits squarely within the definition of bribery when the Constitution was written.

Considering there were people's lives at stake and he was playing with defense aid for his own personal gain, its a 10.

Considering his behavior is exactly why the impeachment clause exists, it is a 10.

Clinton was impeached for one lie. Donald Trump has lied over 13,000 times just since we started counting.

And OP, extorting a foreign government by withholding military aid until they promise to do something you think will benefit your reelection campaing is the freaking DEFINITION of a High Crime.

Sorry but you're crazy to think this isn't impeachable.

But it's not impeachable, and there is zero chance for the Senate to convict.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being an impeachable high crime and 1 being jaywalking, this is maybe a 6 or 7.

This past week has shown lawlessness and corruption inside of our own administration that is disgusting. And we're basically just hoping that this is the only instance, which is unlikely.

It is impeachable and our president should be removed. If we had a functioning government instead of only partisan idiots.

These are felonies and it is about multiple crimes.

And if the president using the powers for the presidency for his own personal and political gain is not removed from office, we have an autocracy and are steps away from a dictatorship.

It is disturbing how many russians are trying to sway the American people. Who can tell who the actual Americans are anymore?

Perjury is a felony. But the Senate didn't convict either and that impeachment was also a mistake.

It’s impeachable if the House says it is. End of story.
