Warby Parker has cool frames but they are just okay at doing fittings. If your son is active at all, I would go to Apex Optical (there are several - we use the one on Wisconsin near Tenleytown). They are real experts at both picking out frames that really fit and also fitting them so that the kids can still do athletics in them, etc. We love Apex.

Believe it or not, Vision Works has a good selection.

Costco but that is hit or miss and Target - Target has Rayban, Oakley and a few other of the better brands. Or, buy a pair online and bring to costco for lenses.

Costco.
$50 for youth lens and $50-100 for a frame, plus $30 off the second glasses

Rare consensus on DCUM! My 16 yr old DS also has Warby Parker glasses and very happy with them.

Another vote for Warby Parker. My teen has glasses from them and has received numerous compliments.

+2. I’ve been getting glasses there for years and LOVE it. I also have a small face and have had no problem finding styles that look good; on the website, you can sort frames by width, so look for narrow styles. Or just take him into the store in Georgetown and ask for help.

We just got the news DS needs eyeglasses. As a teen, he is between sizes aiming for kids and adults. And he has certain ideas about style. Can anyone please recommend someplace to take him to buy glasses in or near Arlington, VA (anywhere in NOVA, DC relatively near any bridge from VA, or Bethesda all count as “near”).
