I sleep in the guest room on nights I have trouble sleeping. When I have insomnia laying next to someone who is successfully sleeping makes it worse. DH was a little miffed at first but he knows it’s nothing to do with him and my own issue. Your DH is feeling rejected. Don’t make it like a punishment because he won’t “do anything” about the snoring, just make it a neutral fact - I need to sleep and sleep more soundly in the guest room.

You should definitely sleep in the guest room, you need your sleep. I don't know what to tell you to do about your dickhead husband, though.

DH has a snoring problem that he denies. I even recorded it one night and played it back and he downplayed it. He said the issue is just that I’m too light of a sleeper. He refuses to talk to a doctor about it and refuses to wear a nose strip or mouth guard or anything like that. I have a very hard time falling asleep since he falls asleep before I do and then I’m awakened by his snoring a few times per night.
I have chronic health issues and lack of sleep exacerbates them. I need to get a full night’s rest. DH currently has a cold (that he also denies having) and that makes the snoring even worse. I told him I’m sleeping in the guest room tonight and he got all huffy with me and gave me an attitude like I am doing something wrong. If he won’t do anything to acknowledge or fix the problem, then what other choice do I have? I’m supposed to lose sleep and put my health at risk so that he can continue to be in denial that he has a problem? And why doesn’t he care that it’s impacting me?
