Everything is fairly nonperishable ( I ask if they want me to slice and freeze any bagels before I leave) and can be eaten one handed at different times of day. A bagel with cream cheese or pb, or a pizza bagel, are super easy and gives some variety.

I probably would’ve kissed you and cried if you brought me this.

Another hit was emailing or texting to ask for their Panera order. Did that with a close friend.

I don't go to that much trouble at home and I sure as shooting am not gonna do it for someone else! OP, bring what you can and make it easy on yourself.

I like this idea! Just make sure they’re good bagels

How about just be sure to appreciate and be grateful someone brought you some food,! New mother's have months to prepare and freeze food. No need to bring anything.

No offense but if someone brought me fajitas I would never speak to them again.

Agreed. I would be hella mad if I had to clean all those containers and heat up tortillas and meat separately.

Things that can be eaten with one hand are great. Muffins, cut up fruit, mini quiches, drumsticks, cut up vegetables. I had a summer baby, so I loved gazpacho and smoothies that a neighbor brought over. Nowadays, I'd love a homemade soup or stew.

Fruit tray or a veggie tray and a gift card to a restaurant that delivers.

No new mom want a potluck.

I like tacos/fajitas. Some ground beef or turkey, fajita veggies, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, guac, salsa, cheese etc. Everything in separate containers and people can make whatever they'd like (salad, hard shell tacos, soft shell tacos etc).
