We use lanolin for seriously cracked lips. I bought it for breastfeeding, and my youngest is 4. A little goes a long way!

if lips are cracked we do neuosporin until they heal then chapstick after that.

Stay away from hot water on the face as much as possible. Last winter I had some serious issues with the hot water in my bathroom sink. I discovered, much to my surprise, that washing my face in only freezing cold water (thank you polar vortex) and a good moisturizing soap felt amazingly refreshing and my usual very painful winter dry skin disappeared pretty much completely.

I'm not advocating cold showers or anything like that -- I'm definitely not doing that, believe me! -- but otherwise staying away from hot water on the face can make a huge difference to skin condition.

Vitamin e stick from Whole Foods. I’m also partial to Carmex.

After they fall asleep I smother the affected areas in coconut oil on skin and lip balm for the lips. A good overnight moisturizer really seems to help.

Any suggestions out there?
DD has fairly sensitive skin and is miserable
