I just bought a 2019 Accord (10th gen.), but if you don't like the way they look, it's not a good choice. I've been happy with the purchase - drives great, has everything I need, significantly more spacious than the 7th gen. Accord I had before it. Only downside is the sloped roof in the back can be cramped for people over 6', but my carpoolers are in middle-school and it's not been an issue.

The Camry gets slightly higher marks, but I wanted a 6-speed rather than an automatic, and Toyota no longer makes a manual Camry.

They don't make them anymore and the kids I carpool are starting to complain about the space-crunched backseat so I'm about to trade up to the TLX. You could get new for $30k or less and two years old for a pretty good price if you check carmax.

OP here. Yes I like this one a lot. Good prices on gently used.

We had one as a rental and it was really nice. We also had a loaner Legacy and have decided it will be our next car.

To your benefit! You can get so many great deals. What about a Volvo?

What are you looking for in a car and what is important to you? Everyone has definitions of “nice” and I don’t think any of your options are nice in my opinion. FWD/AWD don’t contribute to a better driving experience, but I understand that is not everyone’s criteria.

Acura or Toyota can not go wrong with either.

OP here. Anyone? I'm so far interested in Acura TLX and Toyota Camry (sport edition.) I don't like the redesign of the Honda Accord. The Infiniti Q50 has rear wheel drive which doesn't make sense with the winters we get here. Maybe going to look at the Nissan Altima and Mazda 6.

Looking for something a little sporty even though its just a standard family hauler.

Any other suggestions? thanks.

In the $30k range, new or very slightly used?
