You must be very young if you think high-waisted jeans are a ‘trend.’ High waisted jeans ( or locating the waist of clothing at the actual waist) is the default. It’s low waisted jeans that were trendy for a few years.

They look good on me! 5’11” and 130 lbs.

I love them. My DH loves them on me.....high waist skinny jeans.

Agree. I have a small waist and curvy hips, but am thin and they look great on me. AND because they cinch at the waist they don’t creep down. I could see how they are not as flattering on apple shapes, but low rise/muffin top is a worse look.

I’m short waisted, so low rise hit me at my waist. Mid-rise are at the bottom of my rib cage and high waisted are practically under my boobs.

They are good for my body shape - hourglass - but I hate them because the feeling of so much stiff fabric around my waist after so many years of low rise feels really uncomfortable to me.

After 40+ they are great for not showing your bum. Glad they are back. Mom jeans.

They look good on curvy body types (hourglasses and pears). If you are an apple or a rectangle then yes, they probably don't flatter you.

I have never seen high waisted jeans look good. Even if someone has an amazing body, high waisted jeans make them look worse than they are.

Looking forward to this trend fading away. I have tried various brands and iterations (skinnies and flares) and they look awful on me. They make my butt look long and even flatter than it looks normally and add about 10 pounds-I can't wear them (I have a slim, boyish type shape). I think only women (primarily young women) with small waists, curvy, round rear ends and at least somewhat long legs can rock this trend well.
