PP here. I meant I didn't think he was BPD but I just googled it. I actually didn't know this. I agree I would never date or advise a friend to date someone with BPD. I have a parent with it.

An ex-friend of mine has it. I would never allow another BPD person into my life. When you first meet her, she is absolutely magnetic, she attracts people (friends and romantic interests alike) like flies. They do not stick around though... not once they get to know her and see the other side of that fun, sparkling personality.

OP - this is a good question. My conclusion is that these girls have crappy taste. And the bar is low. And the other dudes around are also sleazy.

They’re not exactly interacting with good old fashion dudes who are polite and good looking. Their options are arrogant materialistic losers in fashion & entertainment. Yes, you will scoff at “losers.” I know they are wealthy and famous and so you don’t see them as losers, but take away all that and i just see a lot of self absorbed people.

He is funny
He is charismatic
He has a self depreciating sense of humor
He is a sensitive / vulnerable guy (probably not always in a healthy way)
He is apparently quite good in bed

Different women of differing ages will be attracted to different qualities he has.

There are also many emotionally / mentally complicated women who like emotionally / mentally complicated men. Either they think he 'gets me' or they think they can be the friend / girlfriend the guy needs or they think they can be his savior or the one to change him / make his life okay.

She is anorexic he is BPD. Match made in heaven.
