Also the Calverton School in Huntingtown, MD (Calvert County) which is not religious has a bus that goes to the Giant on 301 in Upper Marlboro, MD. Very reasonably priced. I liked the school and they also have late age requirements if you have a child with a late birthday. Child has to be the age by 12/31.

Yes there is a bus. It stops at the Pier One near Target on Mitchellville Road. It is shared with St Anne's in Annapolis, which is not nonreligious, but it is Episcopalian, which is less religious than many of the Baptist and Catholic churches.

+1 - Could be worth looking at. It's not cheap either.

My DD goes to Holy Trinity which is still "kinda" religious but it is actually more independent than a catholic school or one of the PG County christian schools. You actually don't notice it as much as the christian schools. They do have chapel but it's not bad at all. I would say tour and apply. Probably the closest to non-religious you will find in PG County.

Thank you! How do you like Holy Trinity? Looking for something that has a lot of hands on learning! Would love a places that really values outdoor time but I realize that’s hard to find.

I love it so far. They have hands on learning. What grade would you be applying?

We’d be looking for Kindergarten!

Reach out to Roz Cruz, she is amazing she'll do a personal tour. They are having an open house on Monday (Veteran's Day)

Friends Community School is Quaker, but it is light on religion-as-doctrine, and heavy on Quaker values (SPICES).

Only thing you have to get used to are the combined classrooms. Grade 1/2 and 3/4 are combined. I was not here for that so it was a no for me.

Nope. I send my kids to Browne Academy in Alexandria, VA for that reason. I did love, love, love Holy Trinity in Bowie, MD but I really wanted a school that was not religious affiliated or having chapel, prayer, etc. Not sure where in Pg County you live but it's not a bad commute at all from Clinton/Upper Marlboro, MD.
