Might as well go to pump it up or similar. I think Dynamite is a good idea. IT will keep the kids moving.

I agree. Also, a magician + rec center rental fee might not end up all that much cheaper than pump it up or similar. We had a magician last year and he was close to $300. We did it at home, partly because that’s what DD wanted, and we had also done several years of pump it up, sky zone etc so wanted something different, but I remember thinking that we didn’t end up saving all that much.

Little Gym is great. They lead the kids in activities, and serve and clean up the food. It leaves you free to socialize.

Where are you located and when is his birthday? I think I priced out all the close in NOVA places and JW tumbles had the best price - but I had a military discount. A nature center or county Rec room will be much cheaper.

Not sure what your budget is, but check out Badlands.

Thanks for the comment. Well, I guess different schools have different rules.

You only have to invite the entire class if you distribute invites at school. If you can contact the parents individually you can invite whoever's you choose.

That's true. But we also would like to be kind and include the class. These are a good group of kids and my child is friends with many of them. Thanks all for the good suggestions. Nature Center (from another poster) sounds fun too!

Because the op is a kind, thoughtful person.

Brookside nature center (not brookside gardens) does nice parties:

The limit is 20 kids but you’ll probably have a flake out factor.

Looking for ideas for a not super expensive birthday party location for a 5 year old boy in December. He's in preschool and we'd have to invite the whole class - 24 kids - so I'd rather not do at our house. Right now, thinking of a gymnastics place (like Dynamite) but looking for other ideas for that age group and in the winter when outdoor stuff is hard. thanks.
