OP here. Thank you for all of the ideas. My daughter was really excited about the scavenger hunt so I'm looking into that one first.

Keep the ideas coming. I'm sure people could use this information for Sweet 16s (if anyone does that anymore) or other non-traditional bar/bat mitzvah parties.

This sounds awesome!

OP, we had a house party. We had a PS2 and I bought an Xbox with some girlier games. My kid is pretty low keyed and this is what he wanted. I had the adults upstairs with a bar tender and some good food.

OP here. She mostly reads in her spare time. When she is with her friends, they mostly hang out.

She likes origami and I've been trying to find someone to run an origami class for her party, but I'm having difficulty and I don't know what to do to keep the other kids (who don't want to do origami) interested.

Our budget is not sky high. Most of it will go to the lunch for family/friends after synagogue services on Saturday.

Does she have any ideas? What does she do with her friends when 4-5 of them hang out together? What does she do in her free time?

My kids attended a similar one but it was at the indoor soccer place in Rockville. they also played basketball and soccer.

OP here. I'm pretty sure she wants a party for her friends, especially since we switched her school this year and she misses a lot of her old friends (who live in our neighborhood, so she does see them on the weekend). I think she'd like to do something fun with them.

I haven't offered a trip, mainly because we didn't offer one to her older brother and the kids are constantly on us about being fair (although we explain that fair doesn't always make sense), and partially because we are going to take a family vacation this summer anyway and aren't looking at additional vacations, and that's just our regular family summer vacation, so it's not specially tied into her bat mitzvah.

Please keep the ideas coming!

Does she definitely want a family party and not a family trip?

DD went to one that was held at Corner Pocket on GMU's campus. They had foosball, video games, air hockey, cornhole, etc.

My daughter's bat mitzvah is coming up in a few months. She doesn't want a party with a DJ and where everyone dresses up.

For our son, we had a laser tag party and he and his friends had a great time.

Any ideas for what I can do for her? She's already said no to laser tag, Zava Zone, and rock climbing types of places. Her bat mitzvah is early March so I can't do something outdoors, because we might have a blizzard (alternatively, it might be 65 degrees and sunny, but I can't plan on an outside party).

I'm going to have her look at Earth Treks but I'm hoping you guys have additional ideas.

TIA!
