I put extra reflective tape in my kids coats. Last year I bought bright colors like orang and red, but those are no better that the navy blue they prefer.
When we walk around the block after dinner, the kids wear headlamps and adults carry flashlights. We look dorky, but the kids think it’s fun.

That’s crazy. I get the need for the glow stuff, but who thinks that far ahead when you’re going to go run an errand real quick? Maybe if we were on the bike. No one should be driving on the sidewalks.

I'll go one better: battery-operated LED lights are super-cheap and even better than a vest. Get one--wristband, ankle band, anything. Also please light up your dogs and bikes!

As a driver, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put a reflective vest on your child (and yourself!) They are SO CHEAP on amazon and really do help!
And if you are a driver, and not often a pedestrian, PLEASE keep a vest in your car and put it on if you need to exit your car at the side of the road at night!
