Good gosh people are so uptight. She will outgrow this little stage soon enough. She isn’t going to damage her balance or her feet or anything horrible. She will have fun, which is apparently too much here.

I mean gosh yes! You constantly hear of tap dance injuries. Practically lethal those tap shoes are with their slick metal plates.

Slipping is a real health and safety issue. Sure, it’s “super cute” but teaching toddlers appropriate boundaries is also helpful to both you, your child, and the world.

Only to practice. Dancers don’t walk around in tap shoes.

NP here and it’s not good for your child’s balance not to mention the slipping risks.

Omg no. Let her bang away to her hearts content and then put her in more typical footwear. Be sure to get her lessons so she can learn safe skills.

Toddlers should be wearing very flexible soled shoes.

My toddler loves to tap dance. She refuses to take off her tap shoes. She knows she is only allowed to wear them inside on wooden floors and not on linoleum or on the street. We live in an old farmhouse so I don't mind any marks on the floors but will it cause her foot to develop improperly?
