You get more for your money with XC90, imho. It's still a luxury SUV with all the fine appointments. What's an equivalent Mercedes SUV?

The power of the XC90 is that its highly customizeable within each trim line. 6 or 7 seats? 250 or 400hp? Plug in hybrid or standard engine?

The plug-in hybrid XC90 is sort of amazing - 400hp and 26/30 mpg. That's incredible. It will also cost $67K MSRP.

I'd prefer the new Aviator Grand Touring, which has almost 500 hp and is much nicer than the xc90. Costs a bit more though.

We went with a Toyota RAV4 hybrid. There was more storage room because the x90 trunk pinches in

Or maybe people who buy a car instead of leasing. Almost all Mercedes on the road are leases. You’re kidding yourself if you think that someone driving a Volvo can’t afford an extra few hundred a month for a Mercedes.

Heard when we were buying a different volvo, that there's never been an accident fatality for drivers or passengers in an xc90 in the history of that product line. That was persuasive - although we eventually bought a smaller Volvo, anyhow.

Test drove one. Found the back seat to be uncomfortably tight. Bought an Infiniti instead.

The 2x2x2 is an option on the 2020, but we are looking at a 7 seat option (2x3x2).

Is it true it only has 6 seats? (2x2x2?)

Thoughts from anyone who drives one? Pros? Cons? It's our top contender right now, so I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with it.
