I was going to ask this same thing yesterday. Is the XC90 a lower tier car than the Mercedes? They are nice looking cars.
You get more for your money with XC90, imho. It's still a luxury SUV with all the fine appointments. What's an equivalent Mercedes SUV?
The power of the XC90 is that its highly customizeable within each trim line. 6 or 7 seats? 250 or 400hp? Plug in hybrid or standard engine?
The plug-in hybrid XC90 is sort of amazing - 400hp and 26/30 mpg. That's incredible. It will also cost $67K MSRP.
