I hear you. I have a well newborn that wants to be held and a sick but very energetic preschooler.

Scavenger hunt around the house. Treasure hunt. Smell test (wear a blind fold and guess the food you are sniffing). These can be done while you sit on the couch. If you have a store that does drive up shopping, order some new arts and crafts to do.

I would definitely stick the toddler in the tub with lots of bubbles while you sit on the side - that'll take up at leas5 45 minutes and you could do it twice.Order pizza for lunch?

Husband offered to stay home, but it would be a major issue for his work so I prefer not to take him up on it while I’m well enough to manage. Doesn’t mean I can’t whine on DCUM though. Sadly the toddler isn’t old enough to become a screen zombie yet, she loses interest... Considering this a down payment on something nice for myself later this week.

These are the HARDEST days, OP.

Also, just let him eat in front of the TV. If you don't have easy snacks for him to eat, order grocery delivery.

And make up games that wear the toddler out, but that you can do lying down. Wear that child out and make it to nap time. Then TV all afternoon until DH gets home.

Seriously, TV. All the TV he wants. Even better if you have one in your room and you can all cocoon in there and sleep while he binges.

Television. All you need to make it through. No guilt.

My very busy (even for a toddler) toddler is the only one not feeling under the weather. Today is going to be fun.
