Oh, forgot to mention, we will try the columbia light rain jacket the next time it happens.

it does not help much with nonstop rain which we experienced a week ago, even with top brand material. there is no time to let it dry. And I kinda agree with comments above that it makes it a little worse.

We just keep extra cloth to change right after.

Long underwear. The same things they wear under ski stuff.

I would go with under armor, nike, adidas for the drifit stuff. That costco brand stinks for pants as they rip once they rub on the turf. It might be fine for tops, but not bottoms.

Do not wear cotton or they will end up carrying a few more pounds of water than necessary. Lastly, do yourself a favor and air out the shoes as soon as you get home.

Personally I hated long sleeves in the rain. They just got wet and clingy and made me even more cold. Figure if I'm going to be cold, might as well just wear short sleeves.

I have similar stuff for winter running.

Costco has heat gear shirt/pants set that my kids wear underneath the uniform for about $15. I even got myself a set! Works great under jeans for those cold games.

+1 They are made of dri-fit material and don't retain water at all. I agree very reasonably priced. Unfortunately a lot of people look to always go the cheap route for their kids and well you get what you pay for. If your willing to pay the 2K-4K for travel soccer make the experience 1st class across the board

Yeah because $60 is a big investment.. Sorry I care about my kids not sure that makes me an elitist.

I want to know as well. My kid hates under shirt/pants because when wet it gets heavy and affect his movement. After years of battle I gave up. Now I just make sure to bring a towel and change clothes and heat up the car.

So travel games don’t get cancelled on turf because of the rain but since we are in the fall - what do u recommend the kids wear under jersey to keep the warm (and dry!). Is there such thing that’s breathable and keep them warm even during rain?
