Yes I would but both my kids drank at 15.

I didn’t freak out or punish them.

It’s part of our American HS culture and we discussed it and monitored it.

I would mind. And yes, I drank at some point in high school. And knowing the dangerous crap I did asa a result is why I would mind. However, my number one concern would be my son not getting in a drunk drivers car. So if he called me from a party drunk to get a ride, I would likely talk to him about it, but inflict zero punishment.

College is the earliest kids should try alcohol (responsibly, although it might be wishful thinking).

22:45 here and no, I did not drink at 15. I had my first drink at 17, then didn't have another until I was 20.

Of course. We are Asian, and both our families have a low tolerance for alcohol (mutation in the gene that metabolizes alcohol). My tween and teen can sip to learn the taste of various drinks. But they cannot drink one beer, let alone two.

Not to the point of getting drunk, but maybe two beers while at a party?
