OP here and either had I. I learned about it online when I was googling about my cat’s bad breath. I no longer use it since I now know the true cause of her breath.

Our cat had bad breath and needed a tooth extracted. She’s got much better breath now.

She won’t let me brush her teeth but I do use the mouthwash in her water.

Brush his teeth. Get him used to it now, even if it is a rotten tooth or whatever.

Sometimes this suggests an abscess or a rotten tooth. In a cat that goes outside there can be an infected wound as well.

We just adopted a one year old tabby who seems healthy, happy and active; she eats well. But she has really terrible breath that I can smell from several feet away; it goes beyond the garden-variety stinky cat breath. And she’s only one, which I thought was young for gingivitis. I will bring her to the vet on Friday...but has anyone experienced this with their cat? Thanks.
