I hate when people mention donating money instead of spending it. You have no idea what she already donates, it’s irrelevant to what was asked, it’s judgmental and holier than thou. Everyone of us spends money unnecessarily to make our lives easier- housecleaners, yard workers, pick up groceries, to go meals, vacations, eating out, manis and pedis, electronics, etc. she can spend her money as she wishes.

I know what you mean OP, but honestly spending an hour on Pinterest and Amazon will be a better use of your money. Just enter a few search terms for whatever theme you'd like and you will have thousands od ideas.

Try party eve. She does a lot of korean dols, but she can do what you're looking for too.

I am sure that there are but I have never been to such a party so I would not know where to look. I think for the most part people are little bit less worried about a birthday party for a 6 year old. We did a Dragons Love Tacos party at the house. It was a summer birthday so we had water balloons, ran the sprinklers and had a few games. We served tacos and cake. Ended with a taco shaped pinata. My husband I are not very creative but it wasn't that hard to do. It was hard enough that the 7th birthday party was at the pool with pizza and cake. Less prep and clean up. Far more relaxing for us.

What kind of elaborate party are you planning that requires a party planner? If you don't want to do any work, you either 1) have it a party place like a bounce house where they do everything for you or 2) have it at your place or park and hire an entertainer (magician, character, balloon maker).

What is there to plan?

You play a few games like pin the tale on the donkey and musical chairs. You sing happy birthday and eat some cake. Birthday kid opens the gifts. You pass out goody bags at the end.
Don't make this more complicated than it needs to be.

Also how old? If you’re talking about older kids or teens, then the party planners that do the bar mitzvah circuit would be experienced in what kids enjoy and what the resources are for rentals, themes, etc. maybe re-post and ask for bar mitzvah planners.

Any location that does kid birthday parties will basically do the planning for you in terms of a schedule and decorations.

Hi all I'm looking for someone to help plan my kids birthday party. All of the event planning companies I found don't really have a lot of experience with kids parties. Does anyone know of a company or even individual who can help with decorations/ideas for a childs birthday party in DC?
