Same here. Makes me sad but it is what it is. I don't think the other parents allow it as much as they're just oblivious to it. I tend to notice too much.

So give him a strict curfew, make him tell you where he’s going and track him by his phone to see if he’s telling the truth. It’s unreasonable to ground him for two years and quite honestly, a lot of teens don’t want to hang out at home anyway.

Yes, you are. Sounds like he's been hanging out with a bad crowd. It will take some time to find some new friends. What other activities can you get him involved in besides school - sports, outside clubs/ groups, church youth group, etc?

Sounds like you were not strict enough.

Had some issues with drinking, pot, vaping here and we are clamping down. Now teen says no one wants to come here and he’s out instead. I feel like we are doing the right thing. Aren’t we? 16 fwiw
