Subject: Do liberals drive pickups?
My dad is a liberal pick-up driver as are my uncles. They drive pickups because they work in the trades and/or enjoy outdoorsy pursuits for which a pickup is more convenient. Where they live men just seem to drive pickups and it doesn't seem tied to political affiliation (rural parts of New England).
Around here I would be surprised if many CC/Bethesda residents are driving pickups because they're not really great for driving and parking in congested areas and most of the people who live in those areas probably work in office jobs that don't require a pickup.

Also, it's a stereotype that everyone who lives in Bethesda is a liberal and everyone coming from PG & Frederick is not.

It is a stereotype, but all stereotypes are wrong some of the time. Can't say for sure about the specific pickups you are talking about, but my dad is a liberal with a pickup truck.

Observing so many pickups on Bethesda roads lately that I feel like I could be in West Texas or West Virginia. Result of construction downtown and they’re imported from PG & Frederick counties? Or liberals actually drive them and I shouldn’t be surprised to see one in the driveway of a Chevy Chase colonial?
