Then break as hard as you can to a nearly complete stop, as if you were in an emergency situation. I found that Nissan Rogue Sport handles superiorly under such conditions. It also parallel parks better. Safety features you seek come standard on a base model except lane assist. I ended up leasing the car and have been ridiculously happy with it my first year of driving to date.

We really like the features and size of the subaru impreza including the Eyesight safety system with lane assist and automatic breaking. Do any other small cars/ suvs have similar features and have a good awd system?
I love my almost 5 year old Impreza - but SO glad I purchased before they added all the annoying safety mechanisms. I think people rely on them too much, and not utilize real driving skills. Mine has none of that stuff... but I love it.
I kind of feel the same. I have a 2004 subaru that drives really well; no bells and whistles. I test drove a new subaru with all the bells and whistles, and I just don't like having to rely on them so much. I think they are great features, but, I don't like to rely on them so much.
